SANTA FE ISLAND-SNORKEL
Embark on our trip to Santa Fe Island, here we will enjoy a spectacular snorkeling session where you can swim with sea lions, sea turtles, fish, rays among other species in shallow turquoise areas, making it suitable for a family outing! We will also visit a soft white sand beach called Playa Escondida where you will have free time to explore its surroundings.

We begin the adventure by picking you up directly at your hotel in Puerto Ayora to transfer you to the Galapagos Blue Sky offices to test the equipment necessary for the activity. Next we will go to the dock to board the boat.

We will sail for approximately one hour until we reach the island of Santa Fé, where from afar you will be able to see several sea lions playing in its crystalline waters and others resting on the rocks or under the bushes.

We will visit an area called La Botella, here we will first take a coastal walk around its cliffs to observe the majestic blue-footed boobies, pelicans, frigates and if you are very lucky you will be able to observe the Galapagos sparrowhawk.

Following the route, we will look for a perfect area to do the first snorkel. This area can be between 5 to 10 meters deep, here you can swim with playful sea lions that will seek to attract your attention by demonstrating their aquatic acrobatics.

We will return to the boat to sail to our next destination which is Barrington Bay, which has a depth between 1 to 5 meters, here you can enjoy many areas with corals and colorful fish that swim around you.

Other species that you can see in this bay are peaceful rays that abound in the area, including the famous eagle rays, frying pan rays and, with good luck, manta rays.

And of course its main attraction are the sea lions, which are abundant in this bay; in fact, Santa Fe has one of the largest colonies of this species. Unlike the first visit to this bay, you will find babies and juvenile wolves that move from one side to the other!

After this spectacular snorkeling, you will return on board where the crew will be waiting for you with a hot lunch to regain all your energy while the engines start up for the next stop.

As we head to our next destination, the crew will bring out the fishing rods for a small demonstration activity. This activity is optional and will be carried out if all participants agree.

We will disembark at Playa Escondida, which is a hidden treasure of Santa Cruz Island. Here you will have free time where you can walk around to observe marine iguanas, or enjoy its crystal-clear waters to swim with sea turtles, which due to their visibility and turquoise waters are a dream activity! Around 3:00 p.m. we will return to Puerto Ayora.
