Our tour to Punta Cormorant, Enderby, and the Caves in Floreana Island, is an exciting journey that combines nature, adventure, and wildlife observation.
At Punta Cormorant, we will hike along a trail that leads to a freshwater lagoon, home to a colony of pink flamingos that can be observed in their natural habitat. Afterwards, we snorkel in the bay, where we can see a variety of fish and marine life.
Next, we will visit Enderby Islet, a coastal observation point ideal for spotting seabirds like the blue-footed booby and the lava gull. We also snorkel in open sea, where we can see sea lions, rays, and other marine animals. Finally, we will explore the Caves, volcanic formations that house bats and offer breathtaking views of the sea. In this place, we can learn about the geology and volcanic history of the island.

We begin the adventure by picking you up directly at your hotel in Puerto Ayora to transfer you to our office to test the equipment necessary for the activity. Then we will go to the dock where the yacht will be waiting for us that will take us on an unforgettable experience driven by our expert staff.
We will sail for approximately an hour and a half until we reach the island of Floreana where we will go to our first visit, which is Punta Cormorant.
We will begin a short walk on a trail that will take us to a salt lagoon where you can observe the Galapagos and Patillo flamingos. Along the trail you will be able to observe other small birds such as Galapagos finches.
We will return from the trail to walk on the green sand beach. This beach is part of the list of only 4 beaches in the world that have this pigmentation because the mineral olivine has been separated from other volcanic fragments by erosive forces. Here you will have an excellent opportunity to see the sea turtles that rest on the shore.
Afterwards we will look for an ideal place in the bay to snorkel, here you can swim with sea lions, sea turtles, blacktip sharks, whitetip sharks and possibilities of observing hammerhead sharks and of course schools of fish.
We will return to the boat to sail to our next destination, Enderby islet.
We will take a short walk around Enderby Islet which is used by many seabirds that use it for nesting or transit while they go fishing, including blue-footed boobies and masked boobies.
We will enjoy a snorkel, here we will snorkel at a depth of approximately 5 to 30 meters. Here you will have the opportunity to swim among sharks and eagle rays or manta rays.
After snorkeling we will return to the boat where we will sail to our next destination, meanwhile the guide on board will ask the group if they want to do a demonstration fishing activity. This activity is optional and is a group decision.
We will arrive at our last stop called Las Cuevas, here the boat will anchor to enjoy the surrounding landscape and have lunch.
We will disembark to have a short walk on this path that will lead us to a natural cave system formation of volcanic origin which is believed to have been used as a home for pirates and buccaneers who visited the islands. Around 3:00 p.m. we will return to Puerto Ayora.
